Dennis Earl Empson

Dennis Earl Empson, age 52 of Catawba, Va. passed away Monday, January 31, 2011. He was employed by Pitt Ohio Express in Roanoke. He was born on October 4, 1958 to the late William Empson. Surviving family include his mother, Lillian Empson; wife, Annette Wolfe Empson; three sons, Dennis John Empson, Douglas Earl Empson & wife Elivia, and Wesley A. Murphy; seven daughters, Dana Marie Empson, Deanna Sue Empson, Danyelle Kay Empson, Lanette Nicole Leighly, & husband Shaun, Holly Elizabeth Murphy, Megan Lachelle Mace, & husband Scott, and Samantha Lynn Murphy; two brothers, William Empson, and Randy Empson; one sister, Debbie Empson Jamieson & sister-in-law, Ethel Wolfe, and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Lorraine Taylor officiating.
