David Carroll West

David Carroll West, 61, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2019. He was a lifelong member of Salem Baptist Church, and was a loving husband, dad, and pawpaw. Preceding him in death was his mother, Sally West. His surviving family includes his father, Robert (Bob) E. West; wife of 36 years, Sharon J. West; son, Jerry West and wife, Kristi; grandchildren, Makenzie and Hayden West; brother, Lennox West; and nephew, Lennox C. West. The family extends appreciation to Salem Police and Rescue, the doctors and nurses at Lewis-Gale Medical Center, friends, and extended family for their loving care and professional support. A period of visitation will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Salem Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. with Rev. Everett Kier officiating.
