David Eugene Strickler

David E. Strickler, 86, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Saufley Strickler; a daughter, Karen Lynn Jacobs and her husband Donald; three grandchildren, Robert, Lucy and Edward; and three brothers, Howard Strickler and wife Jean, Carroll Strickler and wife Ann, and Thomas Strickler. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be at 2PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Friedens Church Cemetery, Mt. Crawford, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity of the Roanoke Valley 403 Salem Ave. Roanoke, VA 24016.
