David Michael (Bubba) Rose, 32, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 following a brief illness. He was an employee of Xylem, and enjoyed everything having to do with the outdoors. He loved his family and friends very much, and was loved back by them as well. Preceding him in death were grandparents, Victor Dalton and George and Gladys Rose; and mother of his fiance, Gaye White. His surviving family includes a grandmother, Ivory Dalton; mother, Sharon Rose and fianc, Robert Frost; father, Marvin Rose and wife, Karen; fiance, Trish White; siblings, Terry Martin and wife, Tracy, and Rhonda Twiggs and husband, George; stepsisters, Tiffany and Kristen Rawling; nephews and nieces, Trent Martin, Lanie Martin, and Amanda Stuart; great-nieces, Makenna and Teagan; and uncles and aunt, Dempsey Dalton, Jimmy Rose, and Gayenelle Wakely. A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11 a.m., also in the chapel. Interment will then take place at 2 p.m. at the Captain George Cemetery in Indian Valley. The Rev.
