David Lane Marshall Jr.

David Lane Marshall Jr 71 of New Castle VA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 3, 2021, surrounded by his wife and children. David was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on May 1, 1949. He spent most of his childhood and teen years in West Africa. He returned to the United States and went on to graduate from Atlantic City High School. He was well known for his skills as an automobile mechanic (Daves Shop) and carpenter (Marshall Construction), building many homes in the Blacksburg area. He loved fishing and hunting with his family and friends. Most of all he will be remembered as loving husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend. David is preceded in death by his father, David Lane Marshall Sr., as well as his daughter Stephanie Lynn Marshall. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years Marilou Rogers Marshall; son, David L. Marshall III (Manacca); daughter, Jeanine Scott (Ian); mother, Elaine Marshall; sisters, Sandra Schrader (Jake), Diane Cable (Ted); grandchildren, Jessica Harman (Dakota), Tyler and Stephanie Scott, Bethany Griffith, Caleb and Cali. A memorial service will be held on May 1, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the familys residence in New Castle.
