David Allen Colley

David Allen Colley, 68, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022. A Committal Ceremony with Honors will be held at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia on Monday, September 26th, 2022, at 1:00pm. Mr. Colley was born on May 26th, 1954, in Roanoke, Virginia. He was the son of the late Carl Colley (US Navy) and Edith Colley also of Salem. He was a Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam war aboard the USS America. He later retired from Adams Construction in 2015. Mr. Colley is survived by his son, Jon Colley; daughter Aimee Switzer; daughter-in-law Erin Colley; son-in-law Nathan Switzer; grandchildren Madisenne, Jaydon, Brynn, Makayla, Lucy, Ava and Wyatt. Mr. Colley is survived by his brothers Chas Colley (US Air Force), Paul Colley (US Navy), and Judy Lecos as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Colley was known for his witty and contagious humor and made an impact on everyone he met. He loved with all of his heart and would give his shirt off his back for anyone in need. He was a beloved father, brother, cousin, son and Paw Paw. Service Details.
