David Wesley Beckner

David Wesley Beckner, 64, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2021, at his home. He was born on Saturday, March 16, 1957, in Salem, Virginia, to Frances Pauline Old and James E. Beckner Jr. David loved his hats and his family and friends. He was a joker and made everyone laugh. He had a gift for getting to know anyone he was around. David talked with them about anything and everything which was valuable to him while he was in the Army and throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Polly Beckner; his brother, Stephan Beckner; and brother, Anthony Tony Beckner. He is survived by his daughter, Billie Jo Cumbee; his son, Andrew-John Beckner; his sister, Sheila Beckner; his brother, John Beckner; his grandkids, Haley Cumbee, Jordan Cumbee, and Jacob Hedrick; and nieces and nephews.
