Daniel Joseph Morris, 45, of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021, in Giles County, Virginia.
He was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1976, in Oahu, Hawaii, at the NS Pearl Harbor Naval Base Hospital to Carl and Joana Morris. He attended high school in Washington State, then going on to discovering his musical abilities spending several years singing in church choirs as well as performing in numerous choral competitions. His talents as well as his level of intelligence were truly remarkable, no doubt a young man on his way to success.
Daniel was an exceptional young man indeed, but also made his share fair share of mistakes. He started his adult life with the ability to achieve anything that came his way, but then sadly veered away from his promising and fruitful path. There is no such thing as a perfect person, everyone makes mistakes in life, but he was still a beloved son, husband, father, and friend. Daniel leaves behind many bittersweet memories for his family and friends to cherish and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
And Jesus said unto him, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live John 11: 25. Sleep well Daniel your battle is over.
Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vilikesa and Litiana Rokotuiga, as well as Carl Morris Sr., and Peggy Elliott.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Carl and Joana Morris; son, Dominic Morris; daughter, Breeanna Vail (Josiah); and sister, Monica Morris.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Faith Assembly of God in Salem at 2:00 p.m. Rev. John Ferguson will be officiating.
