Daniel Calvin Jessee

Daniel Dan Calvin Jessee, 61, of Troutville, Virginia, passed away on April 17, 2024. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on May 26, 1962, he is preceded in death by his parents, Houston Alfred and Dorrine Williams Jessee, as well as his sister, Mary Diane Jessee. Dan was a hard worker and a well-respected roofer. He was thoughtful and a deep thinker who was always taking it all in, even when it didnt seem he was listening. Dan loved riding motorcycles and enjoyed great music; for him, that was classic rock and folk records. When the leaves began to turn, Dan was cheering for his favorite football team, the Atlanta Falcon; in winter, he was rooting for the Boston Celtics. No matter the season, he was always fond of dogs, and he made canine friends very easily. Above all, he loved his family and was a devoted father and friend to many. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Daniel Jessee, Amanda Walters and her husband, Rodney, and Dora Johnson and her husband, Jeremiah; grandchildren, Madison Painter and Hanna Walters; and well as his special canine companion, Isis, and granddog, Rosie.
