With the grace of Beloved Dadaji, Dahyabhai Patel of Roanoke, Va., passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018, with his loved ones by his side. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va. Dahyabhai was born in India and loved visiting his homeland when given the chance. He instilled hard work and positive attitude in his two children. His eldest, Kirtesh Patel, was his pride and joy, and always proudly spoke of him to everyone. His daughter, Jyoti Patel, was his heart and apple of his eye. He loved her more than anything and always wanted her near him and by his side. His wife, Sharmsita, was by his side through everything. She tenderly cared for him and supported him through the years. Dahyabhai is survived by his above mentioned children, Kirtesh and Jyoti; and wife, Sharmistha; daughter-in-law, Urmi Patel; and his wonderful grandson and granddaughter, Omkar and Uma, who will miss their Bapa more than anything.
