Cynthia Leigh Dagenhart Anderson

Cynthia Cindi Leigh Dagenhart Anderson, 57, of Salem, Virginia, and formerly of Cave Spring and Giles (both in Virginia), met her loving husband in Heaven on Thursday, May 16, 2024. From childhood to her young adult years, Cindi was a dancer. Her college years were spent playing softball. She had a special affection for animals and enjoyed spending time with her dogs as well as hosting Doggy Daycare for her grand-dogs. Her favorite pastimes were caring for her houseplants, shopping, reading her trash magazines, and most of all spending time with her family. Preceding her in death was her mother, Betty Mahaffey Dagenhart-Friend; step-father, Robert Friend; father, Marshall Dagenhart; father-in-law, Robert Bobbie Anderson; father figure, Wayne Hall; and husband, Ricky Anderson, Sr. Her surviving family includes her mother-in-law, Bobbie Kay Anderson; children, Lindsay Anderson and significant other, Carter Wood, Matthew Anderson, Bradford Powers and significant other, Lyndsey Onyett, Ricky Anderson, Jr. and wife, Elissa Gibson-Anderson, and Mitch Anderson and significant other, Nikki Atkinson; sister-in-law, Lori Fiorie; grandchildren, Micaela Alabran and husband, Jon, Jewels Anderson and significant other, Zach Harrelson, and Temple Anderson and significant other, Ray Owens; cousin, Sharron DeAmore; dogs, Murphy, Bailey, and Chloe; and grand-dogs, Maggie, Bella, and Jackson. A celebration of Cindis life will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel located at 305 Roanoke Boulevard in Salem, Virginia. The visitation hour will begin at 2 p.m. and the memorial service at 3 p.m. Pastor Tom Clark will officiate.
