Connie Whitlock Asbury

Connie Whitlock Asbury, 81, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Asbury, Sr.; and her sister, Rebecca Sizemore. Born June 8, 1941, in Alexandria, Va., she was the daughter of the late Bernerd and June Whitlock. She is survived by her son, Kenneth J. Asbury, Jr. (Jan) of Lexington, Va.; daughter, Dana L. Asbury of Roanoke, Va.; five grandsons, Michael Asbury of Raleigh, N.C., Christopher Jace Asbury of Lexington, Va., James Jimmy Asbury of Charlotte, N.C., Jake Asbury of Lexington, Va., and Ryan Canada of Roanoke, Va.; and one great-grandson, Ethan Asbury of Raleigh, N.C. Connie was a resident of Roanoke for most of her life. She attended Jefferson High School in Roanoke, Va. She was employed for many years as a hairdresser with Hair Trends. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She was member of Faith Assembly Church in Salem, Va. She loved Bible study and worshipping with her church family. The family will hold a private service in the future to honor her life and she will be laid to rest with her loving husband at Arlington National Cemetery.
