Clyde Eugene Bayne

Clyde Eugene Bayne, 86, of Salem, Va., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Born to the late James Thomas Bayne and Margaret Blanche Mauk Bayne Walker on June 28, 1936, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Amanda Cooper Bayne, and his brother, Reverend James Thomas Bayne, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Carman Eugene Bayne; grandchildren, Jacob Bayne, Jesse Bayne (Ashlin), Hunter Bayne, Summer Bayne, Stephen Sixbey, Adam Sixbey, Austin Sixbey, and Amanda Wallace; great-grandchildren, Nolan Bayne and Mariah Bayne; siblings, Elaine Gregory (Charlie) and Betty Hedge, as well as a daughter-in-law, Tracy Bayne. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Upper Parlor of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
