Claudia Lynn Stanley, 60 of Salem, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 03, 2012. She was born on February 11, 1952 in Baltimore, MD to the late Ian Rea and Elizabeth Ruth Mack Macgregor. Mrs. Stanley was a dedicated employee with the Salem Bank also known as FNB in later years, for 20 years without missing a days work. She spent 6 years out of her employment working as the branch manager of FNB in the Brandon Oaks Retirement home and became very close to the residents. She will also be remembered as a very positive person; one who loved to make others laugh. She was known to go an extra mile to help others and someone who had never met a stranger. Above all of this, she will be remembered most as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Laurel Dvorak and Nancy Parrish. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dennis Stanley; sons, Dennis Stanley, and wife Susan, and Mike Stanley, and girlfriend Nikki; brothers, Doug Macgregor and Ian Macgregor; sister, Pam Moffitt; half sister, Diane Kidd; grandchildren, Tyler, Emma, Ryan, and Jacob Stanley, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service to honor Mrs. Stanleys life will be conducted at 2 p.m on Saturday, May 5, 2012 in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Huntley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the funeral home. An online guestbook is available under Mrs. Stanleys name by visiting www.johnmoakey.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Liver Foundation.
