Clara Trent

Clara "Sue" Trent, 81, of Salem, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Sue was born on Monday, August 7, 1944, in Lynchburg, VA, to the late Margaret Irene Guthrie and Noel Thomas Guthrie.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Barry Guthrie; sister-in-law, Maxine Guthrie; and mother-in-law, Daisy Trent.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, William "Bill" Trent; children, Hope Lange McCord (Bruce), Janet Wilkinson (Chris), and Angie Stacy (Frankie); grandchildren, Leah, Kent, Churchill, Beckett, Jordan, Joshua, and Shane; and her great-grandson, Chance.

A heartfelt thank you to Nurse Joyce at Lewis Gale Hospital and the amazing nursing staff at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Roanoke, VA. Your care means the world to us!

We invite friends to join the family for visitation on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. There will be a service starting at noon, and afterwards, we'll gather at Sherwood Memorial Park for interment.
