Christy June Botterill

Christy June Botterill, 59, of Elliston, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011. She was born in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Mayme Temple Botterill and Elmer Botterill. She was employed at Lewis-Gale Medical Center prior to retiring. She participated in Walk to Emmaus and was a very active member of Fort Lewis Baptist Church, where she served as a Deacon. She is survived by cousins, Rev. Olivia Davis, her husband Dr. James Davis and their children, and Dr. E. Davis Martin, his wife Ruth and their children. A graveside service will be held at 10AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Sherwood Memorial Park followed by at memorial service at 11AM at Fort Lewis Baptist Church. The Rev. Leonard L. Southern will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at John M. Oakey & Son, Salem.
