Christine H. Bryant

Christine H. Bryant, 76, of Salem, VA passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010. She was born July 26, 1934 in Wrigley, TN daughter of the late Lish C. and Maggie Byrd Hudspeth. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lester, Carl, Paul and William Hudspeth; and a sister, Sibyl Head. Mrs. Bryant was a retired office administrator for Dr. Ralph McMillan and was of the Methodist Faith. She is survived by her loving husband, Ira Joe Bryant; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberley and David Malus; sisters, Margie Birdwell, Jean Kirksey and Winnie Gordon; and two grandsons, Mark and John Malus. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son with Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 3825-A Electric Road, SW, Roanoke, VA 24018.
