Cheryl Muth Poff of Roanoke County, Va., passed away on May 21, 2026, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was 70 years old.

Cheryl was born to the late George and Rita Muth in Berea, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald C. Poff, and sister-in-law, Lisa Poff Bain.

Left to cherish Cheryl's memory is her son, Ryan C. Poff; sister, Sheila Hyde and husband, Norman Hyde, along with nephew Joshua Hyde; brother, Scott Muth and wife, Martha Muth, their children Tika Wiseman and Otha Wiseman, along with several grand-children and great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Mark Bain and his children, Kerri Bain and her husband, Sonny Joy-Hogg, Stephen Bain; and sister-in-law, Linda Wintermeyer and her husband, Butch Wintermeyer.

Cheryl spent many years as a Girl Scout adult leader, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed sharing her crafting and sewing skills with everyone. She enjoyed taking trips with her friends and traveling with loved ones to visit the beach and many other interesting places.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Richfield Rehab Center, Roanoke Memorial, and Lewis-Gale Hospitals for their care and comfort during her last months.

A service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 314 Turner Rd., Salem, VA 24153. A reception with lunch will follow. Memorial gifts may be sent to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or Richfield Rehab Center.
