Charlotte Ann Phoenix

Charlotte Ann Phoenix, 84, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

She was born on August 29, 1940, in Roanoke, Va., to the late Oakey and Diane Wirt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wesley Phoenix; and siblings, Doug Wirt, Minor Wirt, and Margie Wirt Hartberger.

Family left to cherish her memory, wisdom, and knowledge includes sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Danny Stump; her five children, Michael A. and Dorothy Phoenix, Mark A. and Charlotte Phoenix, Bill and Martha A. (Phoenix) Grady, Bruce W. Phoenix and Jennifer, and Terry Lynn and Brandi Phoenix; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends and loved ones she cherished.

She had a special way about her that seemed to touch everyone she came into contact with. She was a true inspiration to others and her faith in God will be a part of each and every one that had the pleasure to know her.

Her family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va. A funeral service will then be conducted at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jay Law officiating. The family will privately lay her to rest at Cedar Lawn Burial Park at a later date.
