Charlotte Nica Edwards

Charlotte Nica Edwards, 85, originally of Salem and recently of Suffolk, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in her home. Charlotte was born on July 7, 1927 in Salem, VA to the late Harvey and Edith Epperly. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James P. Edwards, Sr.; sons, Douglas Edwards and James P. Edwards Jr.; grandson, Brian; sister, Shelby Holden and her husband, Fred, of Kissimmee, FL; and brother, Dennis Epperly and his wife, Pauline, of Roanoke. Charlotte was a homemaker who enjoyed a long life of decorating her home, collecting antiques, refinishing furniture, and caring for her beloved son, Doug. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. There will be no visitation. An online guestbook is available at www.johnmoakey.com.
