Charles William (Joe) Welch, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2011 after a brief illness. A private service was held at Sherwood Memorial Park where he was laid to rest. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to Brandon Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Salem or to the University of Virginia Medical Center Department of Neurosurgery. His love will be with us always.
