Charles Christian "Chuck" Miller, of Roanoke Virginia, passed away on January 2, 2024, at

the age of 96 at Brandon Oaks in Roanoke, Virginia. He was born in Warren Pennsylvania

on August 15, 1928, to Karl Gordon Miller and Aveline Lucile Lichliter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by the love of his life Dorothy "Dot"

Mason Miller, also of Roanoke Virginia, and son Steven Charles Miller, daughter Teresa

Ann Miller, sisters Mary Louise Eimer, Betty Jean Henderson, Dorothy Florede Deeter and

brother William Karl Miller.

Chuck and Dot met during their high school years at Washington and Lee High School in

Arlington Virginia. After graduation, Chuck served with the 8th Army Auto Maintenance

in Japan. Chuck and Dot reconnected a couple of years after he returned home and

shortly thereafter married. Together they would face life's challenges and create lasting

memories for a loving and devoted 66 years until Dot passed in 2017.

Chuck retired from Northwest Airlines after 40-plus years. During his career, he was

Station Manager at Gimpo International Airport in Seoul, Korea, Dulles International

Airport in Dulles, Virginia and Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia. His career in

the airline industry allowed Chuck and Dot to take their family on numerous adventures,

exposing their children to various parts of the world and different

cultures, instilling in them his love of aviation and travel. After retiring, Chuck and Dot

became avid RV travelers covering thousands of miles across the United States and

Canada.

Chuck is survived by son Robert Karl Miller and his wife Angelina Marie Covolo, daughter

Laraine Dorothy Miller, granddaughters Allison Kay Davenport, Emily Ann Miller and

Christina Jo Zebe; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as Mitzi,
