Charles William Meador

Charles William Meador,80, of Salem, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, October 11, 2021. Charles was born in Roanoke to Ervin and Nellie Mae Meador on Friday, June 27, 1941. A graduate of Cave Spring High School, he went on to serve in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the army, he went on to retire from the Carter Machinery in Salem, where he was a dedicated employee for thirty-plus years. Charles has left a foot on the hearts of many throughout his life and will be deeply missed. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife with whom he shared 54 years of marriage, Audrey Meador; daughter, Vickie Banks (Joey); sister, Hallie Simpson; also left to cherish his memory are numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021, which will take place at Sherwood Memorial Park. Rev. Brian Gordon will be officiating.
