Charles Worley Fletcher Jr.

Charles W. Fletcher, Jr., 42, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 20, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Lynn Fletcher; and grandparents, William Mack and Effie Fisher and James D. and Mildred Fletcher. Charles was as diehard Redskins and Earnhart fan. He loved wrestling, and also enjoyed collecting eagles. He will be forever cherished as a loving father, fianc, brother, and son. Family left to cherish his memory include his father, Charles W. Fletcher, Sr.; sons, James Mack Fletcher and wife Doris, and Michael Fletcher; daughter, Megan Rochelle Fletcher; sisters, Tammy Lynn Fletcher, and Terry Lee Beckner and husband Michael; fianc, Della Cumbow; her daughter, Carrie Salmons; and future son-in-law, Curtis Buckner II; nieces, Sharon N. Vickers-Fletcher and Jessica Darnell; nephews, Ryan A. Fletcher and Logan Darnell; and uncles, Jackie L. Fletcher and JD Fletcher and wife Sue. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm. Friday, September 25, 2015 in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Virgil Neil McHone officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke.
