In loving memory of Charles C. Catron, born October 1, 1928 in Wythe County, passed away May 28, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis H. Catron; and brothers, J.R. Catron, Rudolph Catron, and Weldon Catron.
Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from General Electric. He was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church, Taylor Masonic Lodge in Salem, Scottish Rite, and Kazin Shrine Temple in Roanoke.
Family left to cherish his memory include his wife, Nellie; son, David and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Elise and Travis; mother, Vivian Catron of Wytheville; sister, Helen C. Wilson of Wytheville; brothers, Darrell Catron of Monroe, NC, and Rodney Catron and wife Carrie of Virginia Beach; sisters-in-law, Bertha S. Catron, Iris B. Catron, and Zelma Tarter; special nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 30, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ben Lockhart officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Mt.
