Chap Campbell

Chap Campbell, 88 of Salem, VA passed away Monday, February 06, 2012. He was born January 28, 1924 in Nelson County, VA son of the late Oscar and Maggie Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Tolley Campbell; siblings, James Campbell, John Campbell, Annie Campbell, Lee Roy Campbell, Dolly Groah and Thurman Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a US Army WWII Veteran, retired furniture maker from Rowe Furniture and attended church at Covenant Community Church and Bethel Baptist Church. He is survived by two brothers, George Campbell and William Campbell: a sister, Elizabeth Campbell; and his special friends and caregivers, Deborah Billings and her son, Adam Coleman. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery, Roanoke with Rev. Bob West officiating. There will be no visitation.
