Cecil Lee Rock

Cecil Lee Rock, 79, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2014. He was raised in Waiteville, WV, a son of the late Julius and Leafy Kessinger Rock, and had also resided in New Castle prior to locating to the Roanoke area over 24 years ago. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Harry. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Wyoma Graham Rock; two daughters, Tammy Dudding and her husband Randy, Faith McCabe and her partner Robert Podesta; five sons, Derek Rock and his wife Angela, Randall Rock, Dewayne Rock and his wife Tammy, Brandon Rock, and Eugene Graham; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin Rock and his wife Jean; daughter-in-law, Rose Graham, and a special friend and neighbor, Charlie Harvey. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. The Rev. David Kessinger will officiate. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service beginning at 12 PM at the funeral home.
