Carrol Lawanda Rickman

Carrol L. Rickman, 86, of Boones Mill, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Preceding her in death were her husband, Ralph; sister, Janice; daughter, Dina; and grandson, Josiah, and childhood friend, Norman. She will be sadly missed by her family, special friends, and her dog, Rosco, and her cat, Mac. Her surviving family includes her children, Vicky, Randy (Mary), Rocky (Amy), and Carmen; grandchildren, Isaiah, Jesse, Samuel, Rebekah, Rachel, Kevin, Jessica, Matthew, Andy, and Timmy; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Isabella, Sabella, Everly, Charlie, Nathan, and Benji; brother-in-law, Bill; niece, Rebecca; and nephews, Jonathan and Bo. A period of visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 11 a.m., in the funeral homes chapel with Pastor Nathan Thurman. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Roanoke, Va.
