Carol 'Jeannie' Reynolds

Carol Jeannie Reynolds, 65, of Salem, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010. She was retired from the Commissioner of the Revenue office in Roanoke County after over 20 years of service. Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert Preston and Jessie Parrack Reynolds; and brother, Robert (Bobby) Preston Reynolds, Jr. Her surviving family includes her sister, Karen R. Palmer and husband, Dave; nieces and nephews, Tracy Burns and husband, Eric, Ryan Palmer and wife, Beth, and Sarah Garst and husband, Kevin; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Haley Palmer, Lauren Garst, Preston Palmer, Samantha Burns, Kylie Palmer, and Elizabeth Garst. A period of visitation will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will follow at East Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Pickle will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeannies name to the American Cancer Society at 2840 Electric Road Suite 106 in Roanoke, VA 24018.
