Carol Jean Stanford

Carol Jean Stanford, 67, of Salem, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013. She was born in Salem, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Margaret Robertson Garman and had been an area resident all of her life. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, was employed as a dental assistant for many years, but found most joy in her duties as a wife and homemaker. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, John E. Stanford; two daughters, Lori D. Johnson and her husband Terry, and Lendi D. Parker. Also surviving are five grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11AM, Monday, June 10, 2013 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pastor Ivey Adams will officiate.
