Carl Burgess Parker

Carl B. Parker, age 62, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. Carl was a veteran in the U.S. Army and an avid gardener. He was predeceased by his parents, Nellie Spivey Parker and Carlyle Manley Parker of Eure, NC. Survivors include his sisters, Ann Howell and husband, Robert, Kay Smith and husband, Arlen, and Janet Horton and husband, Tommy, all of Eure, NC. Other survivors include his aunts, Ethel Smith of Floyd, VA, and Ollie Tyler of Raleigh, NC; his beloved pet, Pugsley; special friend, Mike Perry of Elliston, VA; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
