Boyd Artz "Butch" Isley Jr.

Boyd A. Butch Isley Jr, of Salem, VA, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2023. Born November 1, 1941, to the late Boyd and Elizabeth Isley Sr. in Durham, N.C. Boyd was preceded in death by his amazing wife, Marilyn Miller Isley, of 56 years. Surviving are his sons, Boyd A. Isley III (Tray), wife Cassandra, and Miller W. Isley, wife Amy, and five wonderful granddaughters, Amelia, Reagan, Olivia, Courtney, and Nicole. Boyd had a successful career of 34 years with Quaker Chemical Corporation making lifelong friends. Boyd enjoyed his time playing golf, hunting, and relaxing at the lake. The family would like to graciously recognize the nurses and staff of Lewis Gale for their care in recent weeks and specifically thank Dr. Mark Curry for two decades of compassionate treatment. Our Dad, aka Daddy Butch, valued his family and loved nothing more than spending time with them. He lived life to the fullest with his quick wit and charismatic stories touching so many people.
