Bonnie Poff Linkous

Bonnie Poff Linkous, 103, of Salem, VA joined the angels in Heaven on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; parents, Maggie and George Poff; brothers, Lawrence, Marvin, Lewis and Ray; sisters, Lillian Slusher and Grace Funck. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Poff; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Helen Johnston, Shirley Horn and Janet Young. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and also of Faith Rebekah Lodge #98. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Ivy Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family would like to thank everyone on 3 West at Richfield for her care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to Bethel Baptist Church.
