Billy Lynn Ferguson

Billy Lynn Ferguson, 80, of Salem, Va., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 7, 2023. Preceding him in death were his parents, Eugene and Frances Ferguson of Roanoke, Va.; and beloved daughter, Betsy Ferguson Hurley. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Garst Ferguson; daughter Stacey Frye and her husband, Buddy; grandchildren, Blake E. Hurley, Ann Elizabeth Hurley, Andrew Frye, Owen Frye, and William Frye; and very special extended family members. Billy grew up in Roanoke and attended Jefferson High School and Roanoke Memorial School of Radiology. He was employed by Roanoke Memorial and Community Hospitals. Billy loved his family, following his grandchildrens sports, and Salem High School sports. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel located at 305 Roanoke Blvd in Salem, Va. 24153.
