Bill Junior Hawkins

Bill J. Hawkins, 85, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2014. He was a former dairy farmer of Bedford County and later worked and retired from General Electric. He was also a member of Colonial Baptist Church. His surviving family includes his wife, Ruby Hawkins; daughter, Lisa Nales and husband, Tom; step-daughter, Ellen Hugenschmidt and husband, Bob; grandson, T.C. Nales; and step-grandson, Grant Whitworth. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A funeral service will be then begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Dooley officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The Hawkins family is being served by John M.
