Beulah "Bootsie" Moore, age 92, of Salem, left this life for her eternal home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 28, 2026. She was a loyal daughter, a devoted wife, a supportive mom, a doting Nana, and a loving Great Nana, but most of all she was a beloved daughter of the living God who was her Father, Savior, Lord, and close companion. Her greatest joy was loving her Lord and lavishing her family with love and Southern-style cooking.

Beulah was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Fred Moore, her mother Rev. Beulah Skidmore, and her brother, Harold Skidmore and wife Mary Alice.

Her legacy lives on through her family: sons Harold Moore (Joy) and Rev. Dwayne Moore (Stacey); granddaughters Victoria Strout (Cody), Elisabeth Moore, Anna Thomas (Tim), Abigail Floryanovich (Andrey), Emily Moore; great-grandchildren Eleanor Strout and Alexander Floryanovich. She is also survived by "granddaughter" Cecilia Zhao, nieces, nephews, and precious friends Debbie Delby Dulgher and Jeanette Hinkle who loved her dearly to the end.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4 from 5 pm - 7 pm at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, VA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5 at 11am am at John M. Oakey and Son with Rev. Dwayne Moore officiating. A private burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
