Betty Lee Walton, 87 passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. She was born in Giles County, Va on Thursday, November 5, 1936, to the late Charlie M. Williams and Della Irene Martin Williams. In addition to her parents, Betty is also preceded in death by her 1st husband Gilbert C. Wilcher; children, Edith W. Wallace, Gilbert D. Wilcher, Jackie L. Wilcher; stepson, Frank C. Wilcher; brothers, Gene Williams and Charles Williams; sisters, Martha Lovern, and Bonnie Cooper. Betty is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Walton as well as her daughter, Carol Clark; Son-in-Law, Donald R. Wallace, Sr.; grandchildren, Joseph Wilcher (Angela), Matthew Wilcher (Jodi), Donald R. Wallace, Jr (Shannon), William D. Wallace, Joy L. Clark and Leslie R. Fitzgerald (Brian); great-grandchildren, Syndey Sutphin (Isaiah), Sadie Wallace (Charlie Bolte), Hailey Potter (Tyler), Alexa Linkous, Elijah Wallace, Crispin Wallace, Kolton Fitzgerald, Kerrigan Fitzgerald, Korri Fitzgerald, Jerica Hariston, Jenna Pohlman, Jordan Pohlman, Alexander Wilcher, Melody Wilcher, Caitlyn Wilcher, Logan Wilcher, and Michael Wilcher; great-great-grandchildren, Kotta Sutphin, and Roland Sutphin. As well as much-loved nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd Stiffler officiating.
