Betty Jo Tolbert Hansen Taylor

Betty Jo Tolbert Hansen Taylor, 85, of Salem and formerly of High Point, NC, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2012. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph Cefus and Gertrude Groce Tolbert; and a son, Arthur Eugene Hansen. Her surviving family includes her husband of 30 years, Edward Eddie Taylor; sons, Rex Wayne Taylor and wife, Julie, and Kyle Evans Taylor; grandchildren, Chad Hansen, Amy Hansen, Sarah Taylor, Megan Taylor, and Evan Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Braxton, and Bradon; brothers, Dave Tolbert and wife, Elaine, and Gene Tolbert and wife, Larue; sister, Deanie Bartlett and husband, George; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. A period of visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. An additional period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 beginning at 12:30 p.m. and ending with a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral homes chapel. A committal service will then be held later that afternoon at 4 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Bedford. Rev. Hilton Jeffreys will officiate. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnmoakey.com.
