Betty Jean Loving Mcneil

Betty Jean Loving McNeil, 72, of Elliston, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2013. She was a very special and amazing mother and grandmother. Betty was the daughter of the late Hunter and Ruby Loving. Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Otis T. Mc Neil; Brother, Curtis Loving; granddaughter, Jenna Smith; and a special life long friend, Sue Childress. Betty is survived by , her special pet, Charlie; also surviving her are her children, daughters, Robin Smith and husband Roger, Charlotte Phonenix and husband Andy. Sons, Richard McNeil and wife Donna, Darron McNeil and wife Lisa, Mike McNeil and wife Pat, Greg McNeil and wife Michelle, and Kenneth Mc Neil; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, David, Dickie, Donnie, Danny, Timmy, Jeff, and Jessie; sisters, Rosie Griso, and Joanne Ray; Step sister, Gladys Trail, along with a host of other family and frinds. She will be missed dearly. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, 540-389-5441. A funeral service to honor the life of Betty Jean Loving McNeil will take place on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, with Pasto Virgil Horne and Rusty Mullins officiating.
