Betty Jean Huffman

Betty Jean Huffman, 74, of Roanoke, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Born on Monday, August 9, 1948, to Oden W. Quesenberry, Jr., and Gladys Pendleton Quesenberry in Roanoke, VA. Betty loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Green Ridge Baptist church. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, enjoying the beauty of flowers, and traveling to new places. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wade Huffman, Jr.; siblings, Bob Quesenberry, Loraine Smith, and Barbara Sifford. Those left to cherish her memory include her children Lee Joyner, Susan Young, and Mary Duff; siblings, Jude Quesenberry, and Jerry Quesenberry; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; stepchildren, Anitra James, Wade Huffman, and Brittany Huffman. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, VA, with Pastor Debbie Hutton officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park located in Roanoke, VA. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the funeral home.
