Betty Ann Fitchet

Betty Ann Fitchet, 89, of Roanoke, VA and formerly Ashtabula, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2018. She retired from Kingsville Elementary School, following many years as a fifth-grade teacher, was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church, and enjoyed playing Bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thorward Otto and Helen Otto Kahrs, and by her husband, George W. Fitchet. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Dean and husband Ron; three sons, Greg Fitchet, Mike Fitchet and wife Kimberly, and Pete Fitchet and wife Shari. Also surviving are grandchildren, Stephanie Nelson, Emma, Jennifer, Taylor, Dylan and Matthew Fitchet, Alex, Ryne and Noah Dean; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Carson Dean, and Anna and Ava Nelson. A memorial service will be held at 1PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at St. Elizabeths Episcopal Church 2339 Grandin Rd. Roanoke, VA 24015. Rev. Karin MacPhail will officiate.
