Betty Jean Ferris

Betty Jean Ferris, 79, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Billy, on Sunday, April 22, 2012. She was a loving person who cared deeply for her children. Preceding her in death was her husband of 30 years, Billy C. Ferris. Her surviving family includes her son, Thomas Ferris and wife, Sandra; daughters, Katherine Day and husband, Terry, Karen Ferris, Pamela Ferris and fianc, Jeff Conner, and Jocelyn Young and husband, Rick; sister, Pauline Reed; 13 grandchildren; 4 stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 4 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem.
