Betty Gray Davis, 72, of Roanoke, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 7, 2013.
She was born on July 31, 1940 in Salem, a daughter of the late Nathan and Myrtle Mullins Myers and had been an area resident all of her life. She was a member of Rainbow Forest Baptist Church, was a foster parent for many years and enjoyed bingo, cooking, entertaining and decorating for the holidays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, John and Lorine Lyubanovich; and three sisters, Joyce Flowers, Tilly Wertz and Barbara Myers.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty White and husband Daniel; a son, David Davis and wife Sabrina; two grandchildren, Keiffer White and Nicole Day; two sisters, her twin, Tempy McLaughlin and husband Richard, Sarah Chittum and husband Richard; two brothers, Bill Myers and companion Janice, Maurice Myers and wife Pat, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4PM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2216 Peters Creek Rd., Roanoke, VA. The Rev. Kyle Ferguson and Pastor Mike Groom will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
