Betty Jean Scruggs Buck

Betty Jean Scruggs Buck, 86, of Wirtz, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2017. She was a member of Mt. Ivy Christian Church in Moneta. Preceding her in death was her mother, Kathleen Henry and husband, Frank. Her surviving family includes her husband of 68 years, Jack Buck; children, Kathy MacFarlane and husband, Doug, Karen Webster, and Debra Koch and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Stephanie Flores, Paula Stecker and husband, Shane, D.J. Webster and wife, Amanda, Brian Webster, and Christopher Lambert; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Henry and wife, Shirley; and beloved pet, Phoube. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in the funeral homes chapel with Pastor Steven Pasley officiating.
