Barry L. Roop of Union Hall, originally from Salem was reunited with loved ones gone before on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. He was born on Tuesday, August 6, 1957, to the late Charles Grover Roop and Charlotte Marie Hill Roop. Barry worked for the United Parcel Service for well over 36 years. Barry loved his wife and family unconditionally. If you had the opportunity to know him, consider yourself blessed. Barry was a fun, easy-going, helpful, and a selfless individual. He would always stop whatever he was doing to give How To instructions when the kids called. When Barry wasnt trying out a new recipe or firing up the grill, you could find him out on the lake or in front of the television watching college basketball. Barry greatly enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and piddling in the garage. He was an avid fisherman who felt most at home on the water, fishing pole in hand. He shared this love for fishing with his wife, friends, kids, and grandkids any chance that he could. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jena Roop; children, Todd Roop, Jeffrey Fuller (Brandi), Alana Scruggs (Brandon), Seth Holland (Chelsea Sink), Madison Holland Diggins (Nate); grandchildren, Landyn Roop, Alexis Roop, Kayleigh Roop, Isaac Fuller, Rylee Scruggs, Hudson Fuller, Banks Holland; brother, Michael Roop (Sandi); niece, Ashley Roop; nephew, Joshua Roop; friends, Mason Fagg, Larry Long, Tyrone Witcher, Mark Ward, and many other special friends. Don't worry, or feel sad for me, I'm fishin' with the Master of the sea. We will miss each other for awhile, But you will come and bring your smile. That won't be long you will see, Till we're together you and me. To all of those that think of me, Be happy as I go out to sea.
