Barbara Looney

Barbara S. Looney, 69, of Salem, VA passed away after a short illness due to complications of pneumonia on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. She was born November 24, 1947 in Portsmouth, VA a daughter of the late Carlton L. and Susie Parker Stallings. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel S. Looney. Barbara worked at Patrick Henry High School as an interpreter for the deaf. She was proud of her work as an interpreter. Barbara loved butterflies and hummingbirds. She was also a lover of squirrels and rabbits and all other animals. She is survived by her husband, Dale C. Looney; daughter, Mary Beth Looney and her husband, Sean Shadomy; sister, Carolyn Miller; brother-in-law, Neil Looney; and special friend, Patricia Shockley. There will be no services.
