Barbara Jean Crouch Bradford

Barbara Jean Crouch Bradford, 67, of Elliston, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2015. She was born in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Wilsie W. Crouch and Betty Lou Rakes Crouch and had been an area resident all of her life. She was employed for many years in the billing offices of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Lewis Gale Medical Center prior to retiring. Barbara loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking, most especially for her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Wallace Bradford; two sons, Don Fitzgerald and wife Melissa, and Scott Bradford and wife Amy; four daughters, Lisa Tyree and her significant other, Jay Michael, Melissa Upton, Tammy Doyle and Stephanie Hudson; two brothers, Wilsie Crouch and wife Karen, and David Crouch and wife Ruby; a sister, JoAnne Crouch; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; best friend, Gail Scott, and her special dog, Princess. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Chaplain Dave Vanderpool will officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
