Barbara Ann Brammer Blevins, 75, of Salem, went home to join her husband on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. She was born in Roanoke, a daughter of the late William D. Brammer, Sr. and Mary Mason Brammer and had been a Salem area resident most of her life. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Nana cherished every moment spent with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry D. Blevins, Sr. who passed away in 2000, and by a brother, Dickey Brammer. She is survived by three children, Jerry Deanie Blevins, Jr. and wife Teresa; Tammy Full and husband Doug, and Twila Cooper and her boyfriend Mike. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Spencer, Joel, Lessie, Dougie, Cody, Kisha, Tasha and Megan; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Riley; two brothers, Bill Brammer, Jr. and Mike Brammer and wife Tammy; a sister, Kathey Brammer Keys and husband Larry, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4PM, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. Rev. Tom Maxwell will officiate. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service beginning at 2PM at the funeral home.
