Audrey Smart Personette

Audrey S. Personette, 88, of Salem and formerly of Westfield, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015. She was born on January 27, 1926 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Arthur Allen and Blanche Conrad Smart. Ms. Personette was faithfully employed as an RN with 41 years of service in the healthcare industry prior to retiring. She will certainly be remembered as a faithful and loving wife of 42 years to her late husband, William W. Personette. In addition, she will also be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her son, James M. Personette and wife, Colleen; daughter, Patricia (Pat) P. Matheus and husband, Ronald; grandchildren, Clark Personette, Colin Personette, Christopher Schaaff, Eric Schaaff, Jessica Schaaff and Alexander Schaaff; and great-grandchild, Fiona Schaaff. Memorial services to honor Ms. Personettes life will be conducted on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11. a.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A private inurnment will take place in Sherwood Memorial Park also in Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018.
