Arnold Bartley Buddy Hogan, 82, of Roanoke, VA passed away Friday, May 11, 2018. He was born October 3, 1935 in Matoaka, WV a son of the late Oscar Thomas and Annie Buchanan Hogan. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Bowling and Jacqueline Jackie Ferguson. Mr. Hogan was a US Navy Veteran, retired Lithograph Printer and a member of AMVET Post #40. Buddy was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge, avid bowler, loved to go fishing and was a diehard Redskins and UVA Football fan. He is survived by his children, Sherry Lynn Smith, Richard Lloyd Wood, Kathy Wood Scott, Jeanette Jenny Hogan Trevillian and husband, Tommy and Darin Eugene Hogan; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and special friend, Jeanette Hatcher. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 17, 2018 from the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. Inurnment will follow at Cedar Lawn Burial Park, Roanoke. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
